My name is Johnese Lee, many people know me from my social media sites. ( Instagram and Facebook, I don't use Twitter any more.) I really enjoy social media it has opened so many doors for me and created numerous opportunities for me. I currently am a Junior at JCSU and my major is Business Finance. When I graduate I want to work in the bank, but not for too long. I can't imagine myself working for someone forever, I
ALWAYS wanted to be
MY OWN BOSS. I have had a passion for doing hair for a very long time, in fact my sophomore
year I was contemplating
coming back to school because I wanted to go to Cosmetology
school; as you can tell by this blog I stayed in tradition school. (I'm on an academic scholarship
and did not want to give up my opportunity, plus I have got so far along.) Recently I stopped doing natural hair and traditional sew-in because my heart really was not into it, so I like to call myself a Wigologist. Wigologist- a person who specializes in the creation or installation of wigs. Literally, all I do is wigs now! I LOVE it! Doing wigs have really brought out my creative side, it's so fun! The industry has grown tremendously, I can't wait to see how far I will go! I have built my very own brand named JM Lux. (JM- Johnese Marie, the name people know me as, Lux- short for luxury, every girl's wish! I even went downtown to register my business name, so NO ONE can use it!) Procrastination is really a killer of dreams. My goal for 2019 was to overcome
ANY fear by faith!
I'm exited to be dropping my very own wig collection mid February
2019 and opening my own shop! I have so much in store for my brand, photo shoots
, new products, events, guest speakers. I love the fact that i'm in school learning about business, starting a business. It's a learning experience! I have so many questions, school has been a powerful resource for me!
Strength is the product of struggle, you must do what others don't do to achieve what others won't. -Henry Rollins
Once my website is finished, I'll post the link! My business IG: jmluxcollection, when launch date approaches I will be doing giveaways, so stay tuned!

Hello Johnese,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Kara, and I stopped by your blog due to your name being unique. I enjoyed reading your introduction, It was cool to see some on is school and still choosing to hustle and succeed and cultivate and accomplish some goals prior to graduation. Your post was inspiring and encouraged me to assess my goals and put some work into to accomplish the goals and check somethings off my accomplished list. Congrats on your new business!
Hello Boteh,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Kara, and I stopped by your blog due to your name being unique. I enjoyed reading your introduction, It had me thinking hard on how your name is pronounced because I have a pet peeve with mispronounced names. As I think my name is simple it is always mispronounced. My college class mate was a poli- sci major and we had many good conversations. I admire your wishes to further your career and politics and wok on campaigning for president one day.Best wishes in your en-devours.
Hello Jess,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Kara and your introduction was inspiring, wooow Biology and Chemistry, my freshman year in college I started off as a Bio. major and quickly changed my major at the end of my 1st semester, did not realize how much math I need for bio smh. I am glad that you have made it through even though at times it was hard, yeah I gave it up, so i say you the bomb lol. Best wishes on your future accomplishments
Lol it's honestly not easy at all, but thank you soooo much!
DeleteHie you sure are an entrepreneur, you used the opportunity to make your business and it seems like you are on the right path. I really am impressed wish you all the best in your business and other ventures
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteHello Johnese,
ReplyDeleteI agree with the whole BYOB (be your own boss), because I plan on having my own personal clinics for those that can not afford treatment for there diabetes and thyroids. I plan that I will have various clinics throughout NC, VA, and GA. This hair girl is slayed and laid. *Applaud*. I wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors.
Yes , that is great!!! Thank you so much and I wish you the best as well!
DeleteHi Johnese, my name is Jazmin Kelley. I really found interest in your blog especially when you said "be your own boss." understand you for not wanting to work under someone because although I'm majoring in psychology, I don't want to work under someone myself. I also love how you said overcoming any fear by faith because that is exactly one of my resolutions for 2019. I wish I knew how to do hair, it is a good business. Looking at your pictures you seem really talented and I know your going to make it far within the cosmetic industry.
ReplyDeleteFaith vs. Fear all 2019!!! We got this!
DeleteHi Johnese,
ReplyDeleteI am Jameia Booker! I love your introduction blog and how you shared your interest and aspirations with everyone. I used to be a fan of social media as well, but I’m not longer on it as much! I too aspire to be my own boss once I obtain my degrees, so Im with you on that. I love your sense of motivation! My sister is hair stylist back at home in Atlanta, so I know it takes a lot into that work. I wish you the best of luck with your future endeavors!
